Agenda: Registration will open at 8:00 AM with orientation at 9:00 AM. We will go to the Statehouse at approximately 10:00. We encourage you to contact your legislators (e-mail or telephone) in an effort to schedule appointments. Since it is a session day, many will just suggest you find them at their office or on the floor. We expect to have an opportunity to meet with Governor Mitch Daniels (schedule permitting) at approximately 3:00. Lunch is on your own and there are many wonderful dining experiences to be had in downtown Indianapolis.
Registration and orientation will be at the Sheraton at 31 West Ohio Street about 1 block northeast of the Statehouse. Motorcycle parking should be available in the Government Center Garage between West Street and Senate Ave, and Ohio Street and New York. If you enter on Senate Ave you should be able to park prior to the gate. There are numerous garages downtown, but we have found the best value to be the World Garage that serves Circle Center Mall. Enter off of Illinois Street between the Ram Restaurant (across from St Elmo's) and Steak and Shake. You can park for 3 hours for $1.50 and the maximum is $20.00. The Statehouse does have metal detectors and security screening at the public entrances to the east (on Capitol at Market Street) and west (Senate Ave at Orr Plaza).
